As part of their Anglo-Saxon History learning, Birch Class have been using natural materials to dye wool. We were using dyes made from nettles, red cabbage, turmeric and red berries; all of which would have been available during the Ango-Saxon era.
We were surprised at the results and wondered if what other natural materials may have been used.
