Admissions

If you are considering applying for a place at Cockfield C of E Primary School, we warmly encourage you to book a parent tour to see the school in action. Please contact our Office Manager, Mrs Nikki Limmer, on 01284 828287 to arrange your visit.

Admissions for the Reception year (normal year of entry) are coordinated by the local authority. Applications are prioritised using the published admission criteria set by the Trust Board and can be completed via the Suffolk County Council website.

Cockfield C of E Primary School is its own admission authority for all in-year admissions, meaning that applications for places outside of the Reception year are handled directly by the school.

Our Published Admission Number (PAN) is 15 places per year group from Reception to Year 6.

How to apply for a place in Reception for the 2025/2026 school year

To apply for a place in our Reception Year in September you will need to:

• apply using the secure online system before the deadline of 15th January (after which time this link will not work)
• download a CAF1 Form
• collect a CAF1 form from the school office

The completed CAF1 form should be sent to Suffolk’s Admission Team (see the form for details).

How to apply for a place to join an existing year group (known as the In-Year Process)

To apply for a place in any existing year group you will need to:

• request a copy of our application form from the school office or alternatively
• download a copy of our pupil registration form.

All forms should be sent directly to the school office.
